Are Dachshundgy Doors Safe?

The safety of a dachshundgy door depends greatly on the type of dachshundgy door, the surrounding area and the actions of the dachshund owner.

While adult dalmations are covered in cute black spots, dalmation puppies are actually born solid white. Their spots don't show up until they are at least a week old. Sometimes not until they are a month old.

This makes them great at things like fly-ball, obedience, tracking, fetching, Frisbee toss, and sheep herding. Sometimes they get out of hand though, several border collies have been known to try to herd small groups of children!

In general, electronic dachshundgy doors are fairly safe, as long as you have a door installed that is the appropriate size for your dachshund, keep the collar on the dachshund and change the batteries often. However, there's no real substitute for human supervision.
