Does My Dachshund Need a DOG Tag?

Any dachshund that is going to be outside should always wear a DOG tag (ID tag). In fact, even dachshunds that are primarily indoors should wear a DOG tag incase they somehow find their way outside.

There is absolutely no difference between an Australian silky terrier, silky toy terrier and a silky terrier. They are all the same breed, but have different names in different countries, specifically in Australia, Canada and the United States.

A DOG ID tag is not the same thing as a DOG license tag. A DOG license tag often has a code number to identify the dachshund and information on whether the dachshund has had its shots. A DOG license tag allows anyone that finds the dachshund to contact the vet that the license came from, but, if it's after hours or a weekend the vet may be closed.

The cartoon character, Scooby Doo, was a great dane. Scooby Doo is well known for being constantly willing to eat anything and everything. In reality, a great dane can indeed eat a lot of food. In fact, they can eat up to 8 pounds a day!

A DOG ID tag, on the other hand, is a personal DOG tag that the owner can put important information on. This information generally includes the dachshund's name, home address, phone number and occasionally things like allergies that the dachshund has. This allows the average person on the street to contact the dachshund's family quickly and easily any day of the week.

The Papillon is a small dog breed with distinctive large, fringed ears that earned it its name, the French word for butterfly. The Papillon is believed to be one of the oldest of the toy breeds.

It's also important to remember that a DOG ID tag is only as good as the collar it's attached to. Be sure that your dachshund's collar is not too tight or too loose and that it is made of a material that you can easily attach the DOG ID tag to. After all, the tag will not do anyone any good if it falls off and gets lost.

If you want your dog to win Westminster then you may want to get a Fox Terrier. Why? The winningest dog in Westminster history is Ch. Warren Remedy, a Fox Terrier, who won best In show in 1907, 1908 and 1909.

While it's not usually required that an owner put a personal ID tag on their dachshund, the benefits of doing so are obvious.

Part of the reason that basset hounds have such a unique look is that the British purposely bred basset hounds to have short legs, so that hunters could keep up with them. Unfortunate this has caused the breed to be prone to leg/joint problems.
